The Kabale District Woman MP, Hon. Atwakiire Catherine Ndamira, has warned the public against getting divided over politics, emphasizing that politics are for a short period of time.
She revealed this today at St. Theresa Vocational Secondary School premises, where St. Maria Theresa Primary School and St. Theresa Vocational Secondary School had combined to celebrate St. Theresa Day.
Speaking as the guest of honor, the Kabale District Woman MP said the position she occupies is so competitive that it attracts everyone to contest, challenging the voters and supporters, but not to fight each other and harm themselves.
She challenged the public to let God choose the leaders, emphasizing that she has never quarreled with opponents, and voters should also do the same.
She further challenged the students to pursue education if they are to have a bright future, emphasizing that the background of the school does not matter, but what matters is what you get from the school.
The Kabale Diocese Vicar General, Msgr. John Vianney Sunday, challenged the students to work hard for a bright future and urged them to aim for scoring one hundred percent, which can be achieved through daily revision of books.
At the function, over 12 million shillings were raised towards the rehabilitation of the Science Laboratory at St. Theresa Vocational Secondary School.
