According to local residents, the intense sunshine and heat have been notably overwhelming, prompting some colorful expressions about its impact on daily life. As one local resident wryly puts it, the scorching heat could inadvertently inspire a “naked stroll” through the city’s streets.
At Mbarara Central Market, vendors are awaiting the finalization of their tenancy agreements. Asse Abireebe Tumwesigire, the City Town Clerk, confirmed that the agreements are prepared and awaiting signatures, following directives from Local Government Minister Raphael Magyezi.
The delay in signing has left vendors in a state of uncertainty regarding their business operations within the market.
