In the same meeting, the LCV chairman for Namisindwa, Mr. Jackson Wakweika, also reported to the Inzuya Masaba leadership that the contribution from Namisindwa District Local Government was ready for picking up.

Bugisu has six districts and one city, and this may raise over 20 million shillings in total. We also expect contributions from town councils and sub-counties, stressed Mr. Steven Masiga, the spokesperson for Inzuya Masaba.

In the same meeting, the Chairman of the Bugisu Parliamentary Caucus, who is also the Member of Parliament for Bungokho South, Hon. Richard Wanda, also reported to the leadership of Inzuya Masaba that he would ensure that every member of Parliament contributes generously towards the function.

Meanwhile, the Umukuka of the Bamasaba people, His Royal Highness Jude Mike Mudoma, at the same meeting dispatched Honourables Nambozo, State Minister for Karamoja Affairs, and Hon. Mafabi, State Minister for the Elderly, to follow up on the pledges from the central government towards the Imbalu launch, which has been fixed for 3rd August.

Speaking to this website, the spokesperson for Inzuya Masaba, Mr. Steven Masiga, said that the Imbalu program is moving as per the roadmap. Some of the preceding activities include a coronation dinner for August 1, followed by an Imbalu competition in August, and the planting of over 10 million trees in the various schools of Masabalands. The eventual launch of Imbalu on 3rd August, where the President of Uganda is expected to be the Guest of Honour, is as per the available program.

Steven Masiga further reported that about seven kings from outside Africa have confirmed coming for Imbalu. As such, a protocol committee has been formed, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has pledged to support travel arrangements with VIP cars to escort the kings from various corners of Africa to Bugisu, where they will be received by the Prime Minister of Inzuya Masaba, Rt. Hon. Charles Walimbwa Peke, as per protocol, who will usher them to the cultural leader.
