Lower local government in Oyam district have released their amount of money collected through local revenue in last month January this year putting Minakulu town council ahead with 8.1 millions shillings.
The report released by finance department of Oyam district local government shows Minakulu town council have collected 8,169,800/=
Abok sub county raised 4,872,000/=. Loro town council collected 3,779,996/=. Aleka sub county raised 3,69,500/=. Oyam town council raised 3,107,500/=. Minakulu sub county 2,400,000/=. Acaba sub county 1,245,000/=. Aber sub county 1,148,000/=. Myene sub county 1,125,000/=.
Others that collected low revenue are Iceme town council 841,000/=. Ngai sub county 825,800/= . Otwal sub county 350,000/=. Kamdini sub county 340,000/=. Iceme sub county 232,000/=.
Meanwhile Loro sub county came with Nill.
Senior finance officer Oyam district local government Mr Francis Okidi says sub counties and town council that performed poorly must put effort with commitment so as to pull it self from such undesirable position.
