Rubanda District LC5 Chairperson, Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba, has announced plans to allocate a budget for the maintenance of the Bushuura Water Project, ensuring the community’s continued access to a reliable water supply.
This initiative reflects his dedication to service delivery and the well-being of the residents of Rubanda District.
Chairman Kasyaba made these remarks during a sensitization meeting with officials from TechnoServe’s HortiMAP program and Rubanda Fruit Farmers, which was held in Ruhasya Cell, Bushuura Ward, Hamuhambo town council., Rubanda District.
During the meeting, Chairman Kasyaba assured that most villages in the ward would be connected to the water supply and unveiled plans to establish a sustainability budget and a local team to oversee the ongoing maintenance of the project.
He also praised the work of TechnoServe in the district and emphasized the importance of keeping politics separate from development projects.
The Bushuura Water Project is a result of a partnership between Rubanda District and TechnoServe’s HortiMAP program, which aims to improve the livelihoods of farmers by providing access to reliable water sources.
Through this collaboration, HortiMAP is offering technical assistance and support to the district to ensure the successful implementation and long-term sustainability of the project.
Kasyaba’s leadership style has been praised by Grace Byamugisha, Coordinator of TechnoServe HortiMAP, for his non-partisan approach to the Bushuura Water Project.
Byamugisha commended Kasyaba for prioritizing service delivery, which has been key in bringing much-needed water to the community.
