50 UPDF Officers Promoted by President Museveni for Distinguished Service – Full List

President Yoweri Museveni, the Commander in Chief of the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF), has promoted 50 soldiers for their dedication and commitment to their duties.

The highest-ranking officers among them, including Jimmy N Musoke, John Patrick Otongo, James Muhwezi, Richard Rubongoya, and Wycliff Ruterana Keita, have been elevated from the rank of Colonel to Brigadier General.

The Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs, along with the UPDF fraternity, extends their congratulations to the promoted senior and junior officers for their well-deserved promotions and confirmed ranks.

The following is a list of the officers who received promotions:
