Kampala, Uganda – Police have launched an investigation into the sudden death of Mrs. Fatuma Nabiwemba, a senior official in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), whose body was discovered at her home in Wampewo, Kasangati, Wakiso District.
Nabiwemba, who served as the Deputy Head of the Inspections and Quality Assurance Department, was reported missing for three days before her body was found on Friday morning, raising concerns over the circumstances surrounding her death.
Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is underway, given the unexplained nature of her disappearance and the condition in which she was found.
Previous Disappearance in 2017
This is not the first time Nabiwemba went missing. In December 2017, she vanished from her home for nearly two and a half months, prompting a major police search and widespread concern from her family and colleagues.
Her husband, Ibrahim Ssendagire, had previously linked the 2017 disappearance to emotional distress following the loss of their two-month-old baby.
As the investigation continues, questions remain over the events leading to her death, with police urging the public to remain calm as they piece together the facts.
