Senior Presidential advisor in charge of Lango sub-region, Hon. Sam Engola, in his message sent to various platforms, has appealed to the people of Lira District, Lango sub-region, and Northern Uganda in general, to be united always and work hard as we celebrate International Labour Day.

“Today, we celebrate the contributions of workers around Uganda and the world. May your dedication continue to fuel your success and happiness. May you be recognized and celebrated today and every day. Happy International Labour Day to my people of Lango and Erute South in particular,” said Engola Sam.

The heartfelt message was part of his Labour Day celebration wishes to the Erute South Community who are engaged in various forms of work ranging from manual labor work, media fraternity, the health sector, agricultural work, business, office work, among others.

In anticipation of his upcoming role as MP in 2026, Hon. Sam Engola appealed to the people of Erute South constituency to be united and think of better development ahead of them in Erute South come 2026. As Labour Day dawns, it’s a time to reflect on the invaluable contributions of every hardworking individual ranging from the fields to the offices, from the bustling markets to the quiet workshops; each person’s labor enriches our society of Erute South, Lira district, and the whole country and propels our progress forward.

“Erute South stands as a beacon of diligence and resilience, showcasing the spirit of unity and determination that defines our region,” narrated Sam Engola. “The sweat and toil of our laborers pave the way for prosperity and growth, fostering a brighter future for generations to come.”

Sam Engola has commended President Museveni for being a hardworking president who has transformed Uganda steadily with a better ideology of NRM from 1986 to date.

He thanked Museveni for being an eye-opener on socioeconomic transformation and wealth creation now being realized among the Wanainchi in all parts of the country and Africa as a whole.

According to him, as we celebrate this day dedicated to honoring the labor force, let us also renew our commitment to supporting and uplifting each other. He encouraged the people of Erute South to strive for fair wages, safe working conditions, and equal opportunities for all. Together, we can build a community where every individual’s labor is valued and rewarded justly.

Sam Engola extends his heartfelt gratitude to the hardworking men and women of Erute South who are engaging in all kinds of work. “Your dedication fuels our aspirations and strengthens the fabric of our society. May this Labour Day celebration be a joyous occasion filled with appreciation, camaraderie, and hope for a brighter tomorrow,” added Sam.
