Tamale Mirundi Jr has cast doubt on the authenticity of Shakib Lutaaya Cham’s recent robbery story, suggesting that it may be a ploy to boost the visibility of singer Pallaso’s struggling song, “Want Money.”
Shakib Lutaaya, the husband of renowned socialite Zari Hassan, took to social media on January 12, 2024, alleging that he had fallen victim to a theft incident. According to Shakib, the stolen items included jewelry valued at $20,000 (approximately sh75m), two mobile phones, and a sum of hard cash—all reportedly taken from a local supermarket in his neighborhood.
Tamale Mirundi Jr, known for his outspoken nature, questioned the credibility of Shakib’s narrative. He raised concerns about the lack of security measures, stating, “Even the upcoming musicians here in Makindye have security everywhere they go. Can’t Shakib afford security? If he was at the supermarket, doesn’t it have guards?”
Furthermore, Mirundi Jr went on to suggest a potential ulterior motive behind Shakib’s actions. He insinuated that calling Pallaso about the incident instead of reporting it to the police raises suspicions about the authenticity of the entire story. Mirundi Jr humorously questioned whether Pallaso possesses expertise in dealing with theft cases.
