(Glasgow) – A Jet2 flight declared a mid air emergency due to a passenger disturbance and a separate medical incident, leading to the arrest of two women on arrival at Glasgow Airport.

Police Scotland confirmed that officers responded to a disturbance on the aircraft around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024. The incident occurred as the plane was en route to Glasgow, requiring intervention from the flight crew.




The disturbance involved a 33 year-old woman and a 50 year old woman, both of whom were arrested and charged. Authorities have not disclosed the details of the disturbance. Both women are expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court, and reports have been sent to the Procurator Fiscal for further action.




During the flight, the crew also handled a separate medical emergency involving another passenger. The nature of the medical emergency has not been disclosed, but the cabin crew was praised for their professionalism in managing both incidents simultaneously.
