Umukuka III Promotes Muslim Education in Masaabaland

His Highness the Umukuka III of the Bamasaba cultural institution has tipped students of Hamadan High School on his commitment to support education for both boys and girls in Masaabaland.

Stephen Masiga, the spokesperson for the cultural institution, was at Hamadan Senior Secondary School this morning to update the school’s leadership and students about the upcoming educational conference slated for September 2025.

The Umukuka III is organizing an educational symposium for all schools in Masaabaland. During the event, His Highness will deliver a keynote address to students, offering general guidance on customs, morality, and prayer, among other core aspects of life.

His Highness, Umukuka III Jude Mike Mudoma, was gazetted by the government in line with Article 246 of the Ugandan Constitution and the Cultural Leaders Act.

He is tasked with executing key customary roles and is also empowered to mobilize his community on matters of development. As the custodian of his community, he is responsible for upholding morality, customs, norms, and traditions.

Hamadan is a mixed-day and boarding school for girls and is located about 300 meters from the Umukuka’s office in Mbale City. It is currently headed by Hajji Senyonga.
