Officials at the American embassy in Nsambya-Kampala have issued warnings to Ugandans who frequently forge fake documents on Nasser Road and present them during visa interviews at the embassy, stating they could face a complete ban from entering the United States if discovered.

In a statement posted on the embassy’s social media channels, they noted, “Submitting fake documents with your U.S. visa application constitutes fraud and jeopardizes your future. We are always ahead of document vendors and continuously adapt to new threats. Safeguard your future travel prospects – be honest and refrain from providing counterfeit documents.”

This directive was communicated by the Trump administration to all U.S. missions worldwide, particularly in Africa, where the practice of using fraudulent documents is prevalent.
