What Started as a Birthday Celebration has Championed Operation Harmony in the Country

Friday, November 10, 2023

On April 24, 2022, Ugandans all over the country gathered to celebrate the birthday of the patriotic Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba for various reasons spanning social, political, security, and patriotic aspects. The main event took place at Rugogo Cricket grounds and was given the hashtag #MK@48.

During the celebrations, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba realized the love Ugandans have for him and how the young generation has been yearning for a bridge of the generational gap between the old guards and the young generation. He also identified that young people often join reactionary aimless political actors due to ideological gaps, ranging from unemployment, lack of patriotism, corruption within many systems, to neglect from top government officials, among other issues.

As an immediate remedy, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba initiated the rally for “talent identification and development,” emphasizing that many countries are developing through the sports and entertainment sector. This not only excited young people but also raised expectations for significant generational change ideologically.

For the implementation of the talent identification and promotion agenda initiated by Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, several mobilization teams, including Team Chairman under the leadership of Mr. Toyota Michael Kaguta, MK Army, Revolutionary Guards, Original Muhoozi Army, and Avengers, emerged.

However, amidst this process, Team Chairman remained particularly strong, organizing the first-ever Upcountry MK Movement event that took place in West Nile Arua city on October 22, 2022. The event attracted people from all political parties, showcasing that Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba is uniting all Ugandans.

Successive MK events continued to take place in different regions of the country, attracting people from NUP, FDC, UPC, and NRM, indicating that Ugandans have long yearned for a unifying factor. After careful consideration, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba merged all MK teams into one group known as the MK Movement. The decision was warmly welcomed by all supporters of Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, and it was followed by appointing the heads of the formerly MK teams to serve on the MK Movement Central Committee (CC), a committee initiated as a top organ for the MK Movement with Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba as the Chairman.

Presently, the MK Movement is the sole organizer of functions in the country, where people attend without expecting transport refunds and allowances. Ugandans have fully embraced the MK Movement as a unifying body, achieving “Operation Harmony.” This is evident with members from NUP, FDC, UPC, and NRM joining the MK Movement, including members of Parliament, ministers, and business people.

The MK Movement has enabled Ugandans to recognize the great contributions of Mzee Museveni and NRM, as well as work towards ensuring the continued peace and stability of our country. In the process, Ugandans worldwide have seen that Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba can consolidate the peace and security of our country while championing the revolutionary agenda initiated by Mzee Museveni.

That’s why Ugandans are endorsing Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba as our president for 2026 and beyond.
