Rt. Hon. former Speaker Anita Annet Among, as much as she was seen to be greedy, the few who received support from her through taxpayers’ money should come out and stand with her at this time of struggle.
Those who were helped by Among are now treating her like a contagious disease; they do not even want to get close to her.
I have learnt that the biggest mistake the former Speaker of Parliament, Anita Annet Among, is facing right now is accepting to carry her cross alone, yet it is clear that she gave more than Shs 400m to each MP who won the previous elections.
Right now, all these MPs who won elections with the help of Hon. Among have joined the rest of Ugandans to castigate her, forgetting that if Anita had not injected that money into their success, they would not have been sworn in as Members of Parliament.
The only way Anita should be paid back is by the country organising fresh elections in the constituencies and districts where she supported those who won elections but have now left her alone to carry the cross.
