I have heard that some leaders from Teso are planning to meet President Museveni over the issues surrounding former Speaker of Parliament Anita Among. This is just wasting the time of the President, but since this season people don’t have money and there is serious hunger in Teso, those leaders are just hungry.
Where were they as Iteso leaders to advise Among not to behave erratically like that? Did they also share the stolen money? In fact, Mr President, don’t stop them from coming, but just arrange for investigators to take them to Kibuli to record their statements because it seems they are the ones who have secretly been advising Among to behave that way.
The matter is still under investigation. You are running to the President for what? Please allow the law to take its course.
There are many things that require meeting the President, such as reviving and establishing more factories in Teso, cattle compensation, and road works, but not wasting the President’s time to discuss issues concerning Among.
These are the same leaders who have all along been castigating the government for failing to end corruption in the country. Now the government is showing its true colours in the fight against corruption, and one top culprit is under house arrest. Why are you trying to interfere again?
When General Muhoozi Kainerugaba arrested several military personnel over accountability issues, these soldiers were from the western region. Which leader went to plead for their release?
I would like to advise Teso leaders planning to meet President Museveni to get another agenda that they want to discuss with the President, but not Among’s issues.
We, the Bazukulu, are watching day and night to see where Among’s case will reach.
