I would like to send my sympathy message to the former Speaker of Parliament, Annita Annet Among, if it is true that she is sick, as has been reported by former Member of Parliament Muhammad Nsereko. All of us need to be healthy so that we can face the challenges caused by ourselves.
However, this may not be authentic, given the fact that Among had her lawyer during the raid of her property. If this was coming from her lawyer, it could carry some sense, but anyway, sickness has no formula.
Hon. Nsereko proposed that the situation of the former Speaker requires treatment abroad. What if our doctors say the sickness can be managed here in Uganda?
To me, as a local citizen in this country, the idea of her seeking medical treatment abroad may not really work because she was the one who used to approve budgets for all departments, including health. So I believe she approved money for equipping our hospitals, and now she should trust our health system in the country to manage her condition.
I remember her saying that Mulago was the best hospital when she was giving birth to her children. Even we believe Mulago is the best hospital, so let her situation be handled within Uganda.
Unless the drugs in our government hospitals only work for the lower class of people, but do not work for the high class of individuals.
