Many newly sworn-in Members of Parliament from the Teso region will never escape arrest as investigators continue widening their net to get all the allies of former troubled Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among.
Ugandans should know that the country is investigating illicit enrichment by former Speaker of Parliament Anita Among. Her homes have been raided and many things recovered, including money from different countries and also alleged Israeli-made guns at her home.
The security also removed all her posh cars, including the one she bought for billions of shillings from the UK. Her passport has also been confiscated.
The former Speaker has built a serious network within MPs and security, and this has created suspicion that she may have been planning to take over the country. Apparently, no charges have been preferred against her since the investigators are still carrying out their operations.
Since the operations were launched, one MP who was Anita’s mouthpiece was arrested but released after three hours of interrogation. So far, another woman MP from Teso was also picked, and she is still in security hands. According to intelligence reaching us, this Teso woman MP is allegedly managing most of the former Speaker’s programmes, including projects.
Many MPs in Teso, Karamoja, and Busoga who used to work like housemaids in the former Speaker’s home will not escape, watch this space. In the next article, we shall provide the names of those MPs.
Others are on the line to be arrested; they will not escape. By next week, they will be picked from wherever they are hiding. This is a tough operation to clean Uganda of corrupt officials, and I want to thank President Museveni and the Chief of Defence Forces, the “Badman General” Muhoozi, for this operation.
