In a recent interview with the Ankole Times newspaper, Kidega, a senior member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party, revealed his plans to “rally the biggest support ever for the people of Aruu North County.”
He expressed his desire to lead the people of Atanga, Acholibur, Laguti, Pajule Town Council, Pajule Sub-county, Lapul, and Latanya Angagura sub-counties, promising to deliver improved services and leadership.
Kidega’s campaign focuses on empowering youth, women, orphans, and various community groups. He aims to promote wealth creation, community engagement, and support athletes by fostering their talents and sportsmanship.
“Aruu North County will progress without any segregation once I am elected to the 12th Parliament,” Kidega stated.
He pledged to address the challenges faced by families affected by nodding disease by lobbying for funds and advocating for the upgrade of Pajule Health Centre IV to a district hospital.
Currently, Kidega plans to conduct door-to-door consultations with voters in Aruu North County while waiting for the official declaration date for the 2026 elections by the Independent Electoral Commission (EC).
