They say, when the drum beats, the dancer must follow the rhythm. And in Jinja City, a new political rhythm is taking shape as Mp hopeful, Mirembe Esther Mugisa gains strong endorsements in her bid for the Woman MP seat under the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket.
During the launch of her Task Force Team, Mirembe received the backing of key figures, including Mr.Juma Mpendo, Chairperson of Busoga Youth for GMK, who also doubles as the Senior Mobilizer for the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU).
Mpendo emphasized her leadership qualities, influence, and potential to secure a ministerial position that could accelerate Jinja City’s development.
A seasoned media personality and mobilizer, the MP hopeful has left a lasting mark on Busoga’s media landscape, having worked with Bamboo FM, Victoria FM, KBS, and currently NBS FmlM.
She also serves as the Public Relations Officer for the Busoga Consortium for Development and holds the position of Secretary for the Kyabazinga Press Unit.
Beyond her professional achievements, Mirembe is a leader with a passion for community transformation. Her endorsement has sparked momentum within the Jinja City fraternity, with calls for unity and support as she sets her sights on the 2026-2031 parliamentary term.
