Police in Luwero are currently on the lookout for a woman suspected of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old boy.
The identity of the alleged perpetrator remains unknown but is believed to be a resident of Namaliga-East Zone in Bombo town council, where the victim also resides.
The incident occurred last Saturday around 4 a.m. The young boy had left his parents’ home to gather grasshoppers near the nearby lights. Along his route, he encountered a woman recognized by sight, who lured him and offered something to take home. She persuaded him to accompany her to her residence.
Upon arriving at her house, the woman reportedly shut the door, undressed the boy, and coerced him to lie on her bed. She cautioned him against making any noise, threatening to accuse him of theft if he did.
Subsequently, the suspect compelled the boy into engaging in sexual acts and warned him of dire consequences if he revealed the incident. Upon returning home in distress, the boy confided in his parents, detailing the distressing encounter.
The parents swiftly sought medical attention for their son and reported the incident to the police. Sam Twiineamazima, the Savannah Regional Police spokesperson, confirmed the event, indicating that upon notification, the police promptly responded, documented the scene, and filed a case of aggravated defilement.
This unsettling occurrence follows the recent arrest of Jona Ssebamanya, the director of King’s Palace primary school in Luwero district. Ssebamanya faces allegations of defiling six pupils, all candidates for the primary leaving examinations (PLE), aged between 14 and 17 years.
