Express FC 1-1 BUL FC
In a riveting clash at Wankulukuku Stadium, Express FC and BUL FC battled to a 1-1 draw, with the game delivering not only intense on-field action but also a series of dramatic twists and turns.
The match, initially scheduled to kick off without a hitch, faced a 20-minute delay due to heavy rainfall, necessitating the remarking of the field. However, once underway, the players showcased their resilience and determination, providing fans with an exhilarating experience.
BUL FC took an early lead after just 7 minutes when Nicholas Mwere found the back of the net with a stunning free kick, leaving Express FC trailing. The home team, however, managed to level the score just before halftime as Isaac Wagoina confidently converted from the penalty spot in the 45+2’ minute.

The first half concluded with both teams locked in a 1-1 draw, setting the stage for an eventful second half.
The 58th minute brought a double substitution for Express FC, with Kawooya Andrew and Ramsey making way for Oshaba and Muwanguzi. Meanwhile, BUL FC also made a change, with Tezikya coming on for Aprem.
The turning point came in the 65th minute when Benon Tahomera of BUL FC received a red card after a foul on Ssenfuma, reducing BUL to 10 players on the pitch. Despite the numerical advantage, Express FC made a double substitution in the 69th minute, bringing on Batte and Ssebandeke for Alpha and Ssenfuma.

However, the game’s intensity reached new heights as BUL FC’s Walter Ochora saw a red card in the 71st minute, leaving his team with only 9 players on the pitch. The sidelines also witnessed drama as Coach Abby received a booking in the 73rd minute, while Coach Simon was sent off from the bench.
Nicholas Mwere, who scored the opening goal for BUL FC, was rightfully crowned the king of the match, showcasing his prowess on the field.

Despite the action-packed game, BUL FC remains at the top of the table with 25 points. Express FC, on the other hand, climbed to the 7th position, tying points with URA (8th position) and SC Villa (6th position).
Looking ahead, Express FC is set to face SC Villa in a rescheduled match on Friday, while BUL FC will host NEC FC at Kabaka Kyabazinga Stadium in Jinja on Sunday.
