Gombe Catholic Church Robbery: Community in Shock as Thieves Steal Valuables

Uknown individuals forcibly entered Mwererwe Parish Catholic Church during the night of January 9 in a disturbing incident reported to Gombe Police Station. The unsettling episode, captured on surveillance video, has deeply affected the local community, leaving them in shock and disbelief, as highlighted by Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango.




According to Onyango, the stolen items consist of a keyboard, a microphone receiver, two amplifiers, four microphones, and an undisclosed sum of money taken from the church’s safe. The audacious theft has raised concerns among the parishioners and the broader community about the security of their places of worship.




As of now, the suspects responsible for the burglary remain unidentified, adding an element of mystery to the case. The police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, acknowledged the gravity of the situation, emphasizing that the investigation is currently underway to identify and apprehend the culprits.




The crime scene was meticulously processed, with law enforcement officers taking photographs and creating a detailed sketch plan to aid in the investigation. This methodical approach is crucial in piecing together the events leading up to the break-in and identifying any potential leads.
