Unveiled during the annual Karooro Day celebrations in Katungu Cell, Central Division, Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality, the new value-addition process promises economic benefits for the community.

Senior Presidential Advisor on Public Relations, Mary Karooro Okurut, showcased the diverse by-products of banana fibres during the event, emphasizing the potential for income generation and economic improvement at the household level. The technology opens doors for the production of threads, fertilizers, and fibre sanitary towels, offering a multifaceted approach to utilizing banana fibres.
