Police Launches Death Inquiry After Driver Found Lifeless in Mbarara Guest House

The police in Mbarara City have initiated a death inquiry following the passing of Murindwa Isaac Isooke, also known as Mutooro, a 30-year-old driver from Kyenjojo District.

His lifeless body was discovered at CARO Guest Bar and Lodges in Rwebikoona Cell, Kamukuzi Ward, Mbarara City.




The unfortunate incident unfolded yesterday around 11:00 AM. According to the police statement, the deceased had rented a room at the aforementioned guest house on Wednesday, around 10:00 AM. Yesterday, around 7:00 AM, the guest house manager attempted to rouse him as part of their routine check-up procedure but received no response.




Concerned, the manager promptly notified the authorities. Police officers arrived at the scene and, unable to elicit a response from inside, broke a window to gain a view of the room. Upon entry, they found the lifeless body of the deceased lying on the bed.




According to the spokesperson for the Rwizi Region Police Samson Kasasira, the body was then transported to the mortuary at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination. This step aims to provide insights that will aid police investigations into the circumstances surrounding his demise.
