A swift response by the Territorial K9 Unit team in Sironko on May 10, 2024, effectively addressed a reported case of cattle theft. Mr. Mudebo Charles, the distressed owner, promptly alerted authorities to the incident, which occurred in Namba Me Village, Sironko District.

Upon arrival at the scene, the K9 team, accompanied by their highly trained sniffer dog, Berlin, wasted no time. Berlin was directed to investigate a jacket found abandoned at the site. With remarkable precision, Berlin detected the scent of the elusive suspect. The pursuit led the team on a trail spanning approximately 1 kilometer, ultimately ending at the residence of a certain Mr. Kasinde.

A thorough search of Kasinde’s premises uncovered compelling evidence. Among the confiscated items was a panga knife, which bore traces of hair from the stolen cattle. Furthermore, officers discovered meat being smoked on the premises, suspected to be part of the loot from the theft.

Upon interrogation, Mrs. Kasinde revealed that her husband had brought the meat home.
