A popular, youthful MP aspirant for Maruzi North constituency, Mr. Otim Odoc Bernard, has caused a stir among fellow aspirants by repairing 24 boreholes in three different sub-counties in Apac district over the past year.
Otim tasked the district water department of Apac to coordinate improved service delivery for the people of Maruzi North, ensuring access to clean and safe water for all residents of the constituency and Apac District as a whole.
Speaking exclusively to The Ankole Times newspaper from Apac District on Tuesday, Otim noted that he has already repaired at least 24 boreholes in Chegere, Teboke, and Apac sub-counties. He promised to repair more boreholes while coordinating closely with his electorate.
Bernard Otim Odoc is a lawyer by profession, and it is on this basis that many people in Apac District support him to be their next MP in the 12th Parliament.
Otim has made significant contributions to the people of Maruzi North County in Apac District.
Simon Ojok, a 65-year-old man, recounted that some elderly people had struggled to access safe drinking water, while others had gone without bathing for several days.
A woman from Apac sub-county, who preferred to remain anonymous, told our reporter that Odoch is the right candidate to vote for in the 2026 general election because he is currently the face of Maruzi North community.
Imat Kevin shared that they had been sharing water sources with animals due to the lack of clean drinking water in their area.

Santa Okullu, the LC1 Chairperson of Abwal ‘B’, expressed concerns about risks for women traveling late at night, citing cases of domestic violence and overcrowding at water points.
