4th Division Commander Hailed for Upholding Executive Order No. 3

Amuru Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Proscovia Acham has praised Brigadier Felix Busizoori, the 4th Division Commander, for his effective enforcement of Executive Order No. 3 issued by President Yoweri Museveni. The commendation was made during a statement on Saturday morning, where Acham lauded Brigadier Busizoori for his dedication and hard work as a committed officer of the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF).

Deputy RDC Acham also expressed her appreciation for President Museveni’s leadership, highlighting his integrity and commitment to fighting corruption. Acham noted that the President has set a strong example in the fight against graft, which has positively impacted the region.

In a recent unplanned operation, Acham, in collaboration with the district security committee, seized four trucks carrying illegal charcoal in Lakang sub-county. The crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to curb illegal charcoal trading, which has been a significant issue in the region.

The Amuru District Forestry Officer, Paska Alany, also praised the enforcement actions and urged local residents to cease illegal charcoal trading, warning that continued violations would lead to legal consequences. Similarly, Amuru District OC CID SP Akello Francis actively participated in the operation and called on the public to adhere to the law to avoid legal repercussions.

SP Akello further emphasized that individuals who do not comply with Executive Order No. 3, particularly those involved in illegal charcoal trade, will face arrest. Deputy RDC Acham additionally warned boda-boda riders transporting multiple sacks of charcoal to discontinue the practice immediately or face arrest.

Acham extended her gratitude to Colonel Kenneth of the UPDF Apaa Brigade for his support in implementing the President’s directives. She also dismissed recent negative social media claims about Brigadier Busizoori as unfounded, asserting that his leadership has led to successful operations and improved order in Amuru and the Acholi sub-region.
