MUBENDE, Uganda – Police in Mubende are hunting for a man who allegedly killed another man after finding him having sex with his wife in their marital home.
According to Wamala region police spokesperson SP Racheal Kawala, the incident occurred on Saturday when Ignitious Nyansiyo Muhwezi, a resident of Ngowa village in Mubende district, was found having an affair with the wife of Mutatina Khalisiti.
Khalisiti, a distant lumberer working in Kagadi district, reportedly returned home around 9pm and discovered the deceased in bed with his wife. In a fit of rage, Khalisiti allegedly stabbed Nyansiyo to death with a knife, according to SP Kawala.
After the stabbing, Khalisiti and his wife fled the scene. By the time police arrived, Nyansiyo was found dead in Khalisiti’s bed.
“His body has been taken to Mubende regional referral hospital for a post-mortem examination. Efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect and bring him to justice,” Kawala said.
