Community Shocked by Teacher’s Brutal Murder in Hoima

Moses Katusabe, a mathematics teacher at Bwiikya Muslim Secondary School in Hoima East Division, was brutally murdered on the night of Friday, October 11. Unidentified assailants attacked him, leading to widespread shock within the local community.

Residents reported that Katusabe’s body was found with multiple cuts to the head, suggesting he may have died from wounds inflicted by a machete. Alfred Businge, a local resident from Kinubi, described the scene, stating, “We cannot tell exactly what happened, but we are still in shock. His lifeless body was seen this morning. We informed the police, who arrived at the scene.”




According to Idd Magezi, the Councillor for Hoima Central Division, the body was discovered at Kicwamba Trading Centre, close to the construction site of the Hoima International Stadium. This location is significant, as it is a developing area that draws attention from the community.




Julius Hakiza, the spokesperson for the Albertine regional police, confirmed the murder and stated that further details will be released shortly. In the meantime, Katusabe’s body has been transported to the Hoima City Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
