The suspect, identified as Kakaire Yusuf, was apprehended by police from the Kampala Metropolitan East Headquarters on Jinja Road. He reportedly referred to himself as “Major Kakaire” or “Major Asiimwe” and falsely claimed to be an army officer associated with the Office of the President. These allegations include attempts to extort money and steal belongings from unsuspecting individuals.
Upon his arrest, Kakaire Yusuf was found in possession of several suspected stolen items, as well as multiple forged identification documents. This discovery has raised concerns about the extent of his alleged fraudulent activities.
