A local adage goes, “The water never forgets the path it once flowed through,” and this seemingly applies to ex-lovers, Eddy Kenzo and Rema Namakula. A mega collaboration is now being anticipated from the two music stars.
Asked about the possibility of this song happening, Eddy Kenzo said that “it’s possible.” This comes as a huge surprise to many people owing to the way the two musicians and once upon a time lovers separated.
It should be recalled that the two spend about 7 years living under the same roof as a married couple. They even sired a child together, Aamal Musuuza. However, paradise didn’t last long for the two and in 2019, the Clear singer officially departed the BET Award winner’s home eventually getting married to her current husband, Dr. Hamza Ssebunya.
The build up and aftermath of Rema and Hamza’s marriage was a scandalous one especially for Eddy Kenzo. It proved too big and sour for him to handle but as they say, time heals the wounds.
The Semyekozo singer also eventually moved on and is currently married to State Minister for energy, Hon Phiona Nyamutooro. The differences between Rema and KenI have eased over the years hugely due to their daughter.
Netizens were left surprised after Kenzo and Hamza linked up a few times in the past couple of years. During Aamal’s birthday, the two families met for the birthday celebration and it was just pure love and bliss in the air.
Additionally, the Tonight singer left fans gossiping during fellow singer, David Lutalo’s recent concert at the Kampala Serena Hotel. Soon as the former Gagamel singer hit stage, fans started cheering as they pointed to her ex.
A shy Kenzo sat down as Rema wondered what was going on. And on being informed that the audience was making fun of her and her first baby daddy, she spiced up the fun as she said “hi Taata Aamal, please feel free,” she said before teeling the audience to “stop making him feel uncomfortable.”
A collaboration apparently after all the verbal wars that their fans engaged in over the years will be a cease fire decree for either camps.
