The Police in Hoima district are investigating the disappearance of an 18-year-old woman who left her home and has not been seen since.
Evelyne Nyangoma, a resident of Kitongole village, Kibugubya parish, Kyabigambire Sub County in Hoima district, was last seen leaving her home around 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 25th. She reportedly left to purchase medication for a toothache at Kitongole Trading Center.
Julius Allan Hakiiza, the Albertine regional police spokesperson, disclosed that later that evening, Evelyne’s mother, Annet Kanywani, received a disturbing phone call from Evelyne’s number.
During the call, Evelyne was heard crying and stated she was being held by unknown individuals in Hoima Town. However, she did not disclose her exact location.
Hakiiza stated that investigations and inquiries are ongoing to determine the whereabouts of the missing woman
