The Police in Sheema District have launched investigations into a fatal hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a 10-year-old boy.
The accident occurred on December 31, 2024, at Rugasha Cell, Migina, Sheema Municipality, along the Migina-Kooga feeder road.
The accident involved an unidentified white tipper truck that knocked down and killed a pedestrian.
Marcial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson, confirmed the accident and identified the deceased as Elvis Akampwera, aged 10, of Mashwojwa Village, Migina, Sheema Municipality.
It is alleged that the white tipper truck was speeding from Migina Trading Center towards Kooga when it struck and killed the pedestrian.
