Body of Unidentified Man Found in Kisoro, Murder Suspected

Police in Kisoro District have launched an investigation following the discovery of the body of an unidentified man, believed to be in his 20s, who was allegedly murdered and left in Kisoro Hill Village, Kisoro Municipality.

Preliminary reports indicate that municipal cleaners found the body on Saturday morning at approximately 7:00 a.m. while carrying out their routine duties.




The discovery was made in Kisoro Hill Cell, Central Ward, Central Division, and immediately reported to the area LCI Chairman, Munezero Sam, who then notified the police.




The Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson, ASP Maate Elly, confirmed the incident. He stated that the deceased has been transported to Kisoro Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination.




ASP Maate urged members of the public who may be missing a loved one to visit the hospital mortuary for possible identification and to make arrangements for a decent burial as investigations continue.
