Police in Bushenyi District are investigating the gruesome murder of a 26-year-old man in Nyamabare, Kyabugimbi Town Council.
According to Apollo Tayebwa, the Acting Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson, the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning at around 4:00 AM. The deceased has been identified as Herbert Tumwiine, a resident of Nyamabare.
Tayebwa confirmed that the police have arrested 29-year-old Rosette Tusiime, the wife of the deceased, to assist with ongoing investigations.
“Our officers visited the scene and collected initial evidence. The body has been taken to Kampala International University Teaching Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination,” Tayebwa said.
Investigations are ongoing to establish the motive and the exact circumstances surrounding Tumwiine’s death.
