Isingiro Distric —Police in Isingiro District have arrested ten suspects in connection with incidents of malicious damage and arson that occurred in Kyempisi Cell, Kyezimbire Parish, Kikagate Sub-county. The incidents involved the destruction and burning of several vehicles and motorcycles.
According to Rwizi Region Police Spokesperson, SP Samson Kasasira, the violence resulted in two motorcycles—UFZ 889Q and UGA 309L—being set ablaze and completely destroyed. Another motorcycle was damaged, while a Toyota Harrier, registration number UBA 438X, was also torched and reduced to ashes.
Following the attacks, police conducted an intelligence-led operation that led to the arrest of ten individuals who are now facing charges of arson and malicious damage to property.

“General inquiry files have been opened to support ongoing investigations,” said SP Kasasira. “We are also pursuing other suspects who fled and abandoned their homes. Our intelligence teams are doing everything possible to ensure all perpetrators are arrested and brought to justice.”
Police have urged the public to remain calm and cooperate with authorities by sharing any information that may aid the investigations.
