KABALE – Police in Kabale District are currently investigating the mysterious death of 27-year-old Rukundo Dancun, a casual laborer residing in Rushebeya Village, Buranga Parish, Kamuganguzi Sub County.
Rukundo’s body was discovered at approximately 10:00 PM on Friday evening, lying alongside the road in Kabarisa Cell, Kyonyo Ward, Katuna Town Council.
According to police reports, the Chairperson of Kabarisa Cell was alerted to an unidentified body found on the roadside on Friday morning. Upon arriving at the scene, he identified the deceased as Rukundo Dancun and promptly informed his relatives. The family then reported the incident to Katuna Police Station.
Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, Elly Maate, confirmed that officers from Kabale Central Police Station responded swiftly to the report. A police team visited the scene, where they documented and processed the area for evidence.
The body has since been transported to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital mortuary, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
