Tragedy in Ntinda: Young Businesswoman Killed in Bodaboda Gang Attack

Kampala, Uganda – A young city businesswoman identified as Agie, the proprietor of Agie Fashions Men’s Wear Boutique located near Romeo’s Restaurant, opposite Total Ntinda, has tragically lost her life following a violent attack by suspected thugs on a bodaboda.

According to eyewitness accounts, Agie was on her way home when two assailants riding a motorcycle attempted to snatch her handbag. She resisted, holding onto her bag tightly, but the attackers forcefully pulled her off the bodaboda, causing her to fall and hit her head on the tarmac.

Sources indicate that she sustained a severe head injury and was pronounced dead minutes later.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the Ntinda business community, where Agie was known for her hardworking spirit and passion for fashion. Friends and clients have since taken to social media to express grief and call for justice.

Agie’s death adds to a growing list of innocent victims who have fallen prey to kifeesi gangs—violent groups that operate on motorcycles, targeting unsuspecting pedestrians and motorists, especially at night. The same gangs have previously been linked to the murder of the late daughter of city tycoon Drake Lubega and several other Kampala residents.

Police have since launched investigations into the incident, with calls mounting for tighter security and surveillance in the Ntinda area to curb the rising cases of street and bodaboda-related crime.
