Sheema, Uganda – The whereabouts of Sheema South NRM aspirant, Musinguzi Johnson Byarabaha, remain unknown after he allegedly evaded a team of detectives from Kampala.
Sources say he was first summoned to Sheema police station in connection with an undisclosed case.
This publication has also learned that the same detectives have been deployed at Sheema District offices, where a scheduled campaign planning meeting is taking place.
Musinguzi’s whereabouts have been unknown since he left his upcountry home on Tuesday morning.
Attempts to get details from his campaign team and local officials have been unsuccessful, as they have remained tight-lipped about the situation.
Byarabaha is a former Radio West commentator and one of the young political entrants in the politics of Ankole, particularly in Sheema District. On his nomination day, he stated that Sheema South is lagging behind because it lacks strategic leaders who can “kick the ball into the net.”
More details to follow.
