On Thursday, January 25th, members of the Born Again Church at Daystar Cathedral in Mbarara City held special prayers during an event titled “Walk For Jesus March.” The Chief Guest for the service was Rt Hon Robinah Nabanja, Prime Minister of Uganda, who was fully represented by Mbarara City Woman MP Hon. Ritah Atukwasa.

Bishop Nathan Ibrahim, the leader of Daystar Cathedral, offered a special prayer, calling on God to use the people of Mbarara City to continue supporting Hon. Rita. “It’s a blessing to have a leader who respects God, does not segregate people according to their religion, and always supports electorates whenever the need arises,” noted Bishop Nathan.

“As an anointed Bishop from God, I assure you, my people of God, that Hon. Rita Atukwasa will win the 2026/31 elections and continue developing Mbarara City,” Bishop Nathan Ibrahim stated, while urging his followers to continue supporting Hon. Rita.

Investigations have revealed that all politicians receiving a blessing from Bishop Nathan Ibrahim in Mbarara City find it easy to win elections. This undoubtedly proves that Hon. Rita is set to remain the Woman MP of Mbarara City for 2026/31.

Interactions with believers at the church revealed that people appreciate the significant work Rita is doing to improve the welfare of women in the city. This includes funding women empowerment groups in every village, organizing health camps that provide free services, lobbying for water and electricity, and monitoring government programs, among others.

It should be noted that Hon. Rita is a Catholic by religion, but her character allows her to easily associate well with all religions, making her the best choice for Mbarara City.
