Absa Bank Uganda has officially appointed Patricia Nshemereirwe as its Chief Operating Officer, marking a significant addition to the bank’s leadership team. With two decades of experience in the banking and financial services sector, Nshemereirwe will take on a crucial role, overseeing the Operations and Information Technology functions of the bank.
Prior to joining Absa, Nshemereirwe held the position of Head of Integrated Channels/Client Coverage at Stanbic Bank Uganda. In this role, she played a key role in developing and executing strategies for the bank’s Distribution, Agent Banking, and Virtual and Digital Channels.
Her extensive career also includes pivotal roles at both Stanbic Bank and DFCU Bank, where she served as Head of Operations, Head of Production, and Marketing Manager, among other significant responsibilities.
David Wandera, Absa Bank Uganda’s Executive Director and Head of Markets, expressed confidence in Nshemereirwe’s capabilities, citing her impressive track record and commitment to enhancing work quality and driving value and efficiencies for both clients and the organization. Wandera anticipates her valuable contributions to the fulfillment of the bank’s purpose.
Patricia Nshemereirwe holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Nkozi University and a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University.
