Socialite Zari Hassan recently addressed the meeting between her former boyfriend, Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz, and her husband, Shakib Lutaaya, also known as Shakib Cham. In a heartwarming video that surfaced, the trio spent quality time with their children, which garnered attention from netizens.
Zari, who has two children with Diamond, Tiffah and Nillan, clarified that the meeting was not spontaneous. All parties involved were aware of it, which helped maintain a peaceful atmosphere during the encounter.
Zari shared this information during a press conference at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel on Thursday, October 26, where she also encouraged celebrities to support the upcoming royal wedding of the Kyabazinga.
The meeting between Diamond and Shakib came about after a conversation Zari had with Diamond. She informed him of her marriage, and Diamond expressed his interest in meeting her new husband, especially since Shakib spends a significant amount of time with their children.
Zari recounted, “I told Shakib about Diamond’s request, and he graciously accepted, allowing the two of them to meet. This is why you saw what you did.”
Zari emphasized the maturity and understanding required to bring the two men together. She expressed her satisfaction with the meeting, noting that Diamond appreciated Shakib’s calm demeanor, and the two even exchanged contact information.
