Two German nationals were involved in a road crash in Rubirizi District near Queen Elizabeth National Park and were taken to a local medical center for treatment.

(Rubirizi) – Police in Rubirizi District are investigating a road accident involving two German nationals, which occurred on November 8 around 2:30 pm at Nyamuhuru, along the Kasese-Ishaka road near Queen Elizabeth National Park. The accident involved a silver-grey Toyota Wish with registration number UBH 444P and a red Sino truck, registration number UBG 572Y.

Greater Bushenyi police spokesperson, Mr. Marcial Tumusiime, identified the German nationals as Stappen Bacher Florian Franz, 38, and Muller Mathias Wolfganga, 41. Both individuals are visiting from Germany.

Preliminary reports suggest the accident occurred when the Sino truck, loaded with sand and traveling from Ishaka to Hima Cement Factory, collided with the Toyota Wish. It appears the truck’s driver lost control and swerved out of his lane, leading to the collision with the vehicle carrying the two German visitors.

Following the crash, both German nationals were taken to Rubirizi Medical Center for treatment. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to establish the full details of the incident.
