Isingiro LCII Chairman Found Murdered; Four Suspects Apprehended

In Isingiro District, the local police are currently investigating the murder of a 64-year-old LCII Chairman named Byenyinemwe Ben. This incident occurred in Nyamitsindo Parish, Masha Sub-county.

As reported, four individuals have been taken into custody as suspects in connection with the murder. These suspects include the deceased’s wife, one of his sons, another son, and a neighbor.




The body of the victim was discovered by Mr. Kato, who observed a deep cut on the victim’s neck. Preliminary investigations suggest that the motive behind the murder may be related to domestic disputes stemming from the deceased’s second marriage.




The body of the deceased has been transported to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination. Simultaneously, the four suspects are being held in police custody for further investigation. This information has been confirmed by Samson Kasasira, the spokesperson for the Rwizi region Police.
