Lira, Uganda – The territorial police in Lira City CPS received a case of criminal trespass whereby it was alleged that Okori Walter, a retired UPDF officer aged 58, Lango by tribe, and a resident of Ocokcan cell, Boroboro ward, Lira City East Division, caught his wife, Kyalikunda Rosette, aged 45, Munyankole by tribe and a mother of eight children, with a man identified as Okello Moses, aged 45, a peasant farmer and a resident of Adiknino cell, Boroboro ward, Lira City East Division, having sexual intercourse on their marital bed at his home on the night of April 15, 2024, around 11:30 p.m.

According to SP Okema Jimmy Patrick, Police PRO for North Kyoga Region, Okori Walter had just returned from a burial place in the neighborhood. He immediately called the area LCI and never reacted to them. LCI later notified the police.

Police at Boroboro Police Post responded to the scene. Okello Moses and Kyalikunda were arrested and taken to the police post without sustaining any injuries, where the matter was temporarily handled before the lady was handed over to the clan leader, Awitong of Tekere Okii me Okabo, for further action.

We want to refute what is circulating on various social media platforms that the lady was stabbed with a knife and the man subsequently cut on the back of the neck. Okema stated that this is not true and it’s not what happened in Boroboro.

It’s an expression of belief according to the person who started posting the videos, thinking that should be what the husband could have done; therefore, this is an exaggeration or a fabricated story.
