A tragic collision claimed the life of a pedestrian, Aggrey Katomera, on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. The incident occurred at the Kebisoni Town Council stage, involving a Star Link Company bus with registration number UBF 966J.
Katomera, a 32-year-old resident of Kyanika Cell, Ndago Parish, Nyarushanje Sub County, Rukungiri District, was on his way to Butabika Hospital for rehabilitation when the unfortunate event transpired.
Eyewitnesses recounted that Katomera and his caregivers were waiting at the bus terminal in Kebisoni Town Council when the bus arrived. As the bus pulled up, Katomera attempted to flee the scene, leading to a collision with the bus’s tire. The impact proved fatal, resulting in Katomera’s demise.
Despite his critical condition prior to the collision, Katomera’s caregivers shared that he was already in a critical state.
The bus transported Katomera’s body to Kebisoni Health Center 4 in Kebisoni Town Council, Rukungiri District, where it awaits postmortem examination and necessary treatment.
