Thugs Set House Ablaze in Obongi, Victim Narrowly Escapes Death

Obongi, Uganda  – The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Obongi, Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, visited the scene of a crime where thugs set ablaze the house of one Inyakuni Bashir after locking him inside and setting it on fire.

The incident occurred on Christmas night in Melemelekwe village, Otubanga parish in Ewafa sub-county, Obongi district.




According to the RDC, the thugs also set fire to the house of the victim’s father, but the fire was extinguished after a short time. They also kicked and bit the victim’s mother.




The RDC, accompanied by the LC3 chairperson of Ewafa, commonly known as AK 47, advised the beaten mother to seek medical attention at a health center.




The victims reported the matter to the police, but the police have not yet responded to the situation. The RDC Obongi directed the police to investigate the matter and visit the scene of the crime.
