Tekwaro Lango and Fountainhead Institute of Management and Technology signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Saturday to offer scholarships to 320 students from Lango sub-region.

The MOU was signed by Tekwaro Lango Prime Minister George Ojwang Opota and Fountainhead Institute of Management and Technology Director Tom Okao.

Under the MOU, Fountainhead Institute of Management and Technology will offer scholarships to 320 students from Lango sub-region who meet the academic requirements. The scholarships will cover the full tuition fee, which is 970,000 shillings per year.

The students will be selected by a committee appointed by Tekwaro Lango. The committee will interview the students on September 16, 2023.

The scholarships will be offered in the following courses: civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science.

The MOU was witnessed by the chairperson of the governing council of Fountainhead Institute of Management and Technology, Moses Cyprian Otyek, and the academic registrar, Mr. Olal.

Ojwang thanked Okao for the partnership and said that it would help to improve the quality of education in Lango sub-region. He also encouraged the students to take advantage of the scholarships and to focus on their studies.

Okao said that he was committed to providing quality education to all students, regardless of their background. He said that the scholarships would help to make education more accessible to students from Lango sub-region.
