A total of 166,400 candidates registered for the 2025 UACE examinations, representing a 17.2% increase compared to 141,996 candidates in 2024. Of these, 165,172 students actually sat the exams, which were conducted from November 10 to December 5, 2025, across 2,844 examination centres nationwide.

How Candidates Can Access Their Results

Results are delivered within seconds to a few minutes. This service is available 24/7 on MTN and Airtel, and standard SMS charges apply.

Important Notes:

  • Ensure you have at least 500 shillings in airtime.
  • Double-check your index number to avoid errors.
  • If you receive no response, try again later due to possible system congestion.
  • If results are withheld, contact your school or UNEB.

2. School Pickup
Candidates can also obtain results from their schools or examination centres once results are officially released. Schools are expected to provide hard copies to students.

3. Online School Portal Access
Headteachers and examination centre administrators can access results immediately through the UNEB online portal using their assigned credentials. Results can be downloaded and printed for candidates.

Hard Copy Results and Certificate Distribution

  • While digital access is immediate, hard copies of results will be sent to schools at a later date.
  • Certificates will be printed after all reviews and corrections are completed.
  • Schools and candidates will be informed when certificates are ready for collection.

Candidates and school administrators should carefully review their results. Any queries or requests for amendments must be submitted within 21 working days from the date of release. All requests should be submitted electronically via the UNEB portal to ensure faster processing and timely issuance of certificates.
