PM Nabbanja Announces Relocation of 4,000 Disaster-Affected Residents

In response to ongoing heavy rains and government advisories for residents in disaster-prone regions such as wetlands and mountainous areas to exercise caution, the government is actively working to relocate people who have previously experienced landslides in the Mt Elgon area.

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has confirmed that more than 4,000 individuals in the region are being relocated to safer locations. In an interview with NTV, Nabbanja stated that the areas being vacated by the residents will be designated as forest reserves.
